Full Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang (L, D)
Today, we leave Hanoi behind and head to Ha Giang Province. The seven-hour drive to Ha Giang is the way to reach many breath-taking attractions in Vietnam. On the way, we will stopover at some places to visit small villages and take photos. After this drive to Ha Giang, we will take a short walk around Ha Giang to visit the village of Tay & Nung people, set in a splendid valley near town. Stay in Ha Giang for overnight accommodation.
Day 2: Ha Giang – Quan Ba Pass – Yen Minh – Lung Cu – Dong Van Rocky Plateau (B, L, D)
After breakfast, a drive is ready to take you to Dong Van, the largest karst plateau of Vietnam. On the way, we stop en-route to visit Lung Cu flagpole and relish in the heaven gate Quan Ba for a panoramic view of the villages, then continue to climb the chain of limestone peaks.
Several stops to visit Mong villages that have old mud houses, some built in a colonial style. Three times a month at night, all the houses around the market light lanterns. Overnight in Ha Giang.
Day 3: Dong Van – Meo Vac – Bao Lac – Ba Be Lake (B, L, D)
Luckily, today falls on Sunday we will have the chance to visit Dong Van ethnic market, where all kinds of goods and multi-colored clothes can be purchased. People living in Dong Van still remain their traditional life of the minority tribes.
If lucky, you can join in the Sunday Market before driving from Dong Van along the Nho Que River and pass magnificent Ma Pi Leng pass, considered as the most beautiful pass in Vietnam. We arrive in Meo Vac in within 2-hour drive. Take a rest, free your legs before drives to Ba Be Lake. Tonight we will have dinner and enjoy beer time in the homestay, enjoy the nice river view and overnight at homestay in Pac Ngoi village.
Day 4: Ba Be Lake – Hanoi (B, L)
Enjoy a light breakfast and then board a boat trip on Ba Be Lake, the largest lake in Vietnam which has a water area around 500ha, spreading over 8km. We will visit Puong Cave – one of the most beautiful caves in Ba Be national park, and then take the boat to Dau Dang waterfall, while waiting for the lunch in Minority restaurant. After that, we take a short walk to visit Dau Dang waterfall.
After lunch, we will take a boat back to Pac Ngoi village, take rest for few minutes then we will drive back to Hanoi (240 km), Arrive in Hanoi at late afternoon, transfer to impressive hotel in Hanoi. Trip ends.
