Thu Sy Fish Trap Village, where local artisans have been hand-weaving bamboo fish traps for over 200 years. Discover how this simple yet ingenious tool reflects the resourcefulness of rural life and get a closer look at a fading craft that has become a cultural icon.
Full Itinerary
This morning, your guide and driver will pick you up at 8:00 AM for a trip to Ban Yen Nhan Town, Hung Yen Province, located 25 km from Hanoi. Known for producing the famous “Tương Bần” soy sauce, Ban Craft Village is a unique sight, with rows of ceramic containers filled with sauce fermenting under the sun. As you walk through the village, you’ll learn about the century-old tradition of soy sauce-making, a staple in northern Vietnamese families
After that, we continue to Thu Sy Village, a 200-year-old village renowned for its traditional bamboo fish traps. Explore the craft and its significance while discovering why this village has become a cultural highlight and inspiration for photographers.
