FULL ITINERARY

In the morning, your personal tour guide and driver will warmly welcome you at your hotel’s lobby to begin a delightful journey. Afterwards, we will proceed to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university built in 1070 and dedicated to Confucius. Upon arrival, stroll through its peaceful courtyards and admire the ancient architecture, including the Well of Heavenly Clarity and the Pavilion of Constellation. Learn about its significance in nurturing Vietnam’s scholars over centuries, as your guide shares captivating stories and insights.

As part of this visit, we are excited to share a special experience we know you’ll love: an ongoing exhibition named “Thien Quang” which celebrating the essence of ancient Thang Long culture. This exhibition tells the story of the sacred light of Heaven and Earth illuminating Thang Long—a place where history, culture, and traditional craftsmanship converge. The artworks showcase the evolution of famous craft villages, featuring silk weaving, embroidery, bronze casting, gold and silver crafting, woodcraft, lacquer work, and more. A highlight of the exhibition is the collaborative artwork Thien Quang Well, inspired by the heritage of the Thien Quang Well at this temple.

Adding to the exhibition is an exciting hands-on rubber block and screening painting workshop, an initiative aimed at preserving and promoting the values of Vietnam’s cultural heritage through traditional printing arts. Here’s what to expect:

Process:
1. Ink Rolling: Participants will evenly apply ink onto a wooden board before transferring it onto the engraved block, ensuring complete coverage of the intricate designs.
2. Printing on Giấy Dó: Using handmade Giấy Dó paper, you’ll press the paper onto the inked block with the right amount of pressure to create a unique impression.
Designs: Choose from an array of prints inspired by Vietnam’s heritage, including historic architecture like Khuê Văn Các and bell towers, mythical creatures such as dragons and phoenixes, and decorative patterns from ancient stelae. For younger visitors or those seeking a playful touch, there are charming designs like butterflies, dragonflies, and the zodiac animals.
