Full Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Hanoi (L, D)

Arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, you will be welcomed by a friendly local guide and transferred directly to the hotel. After a short break, you have a 1-hour cyclo to get closer to Hanoi Street and also their lifestyle. Then our guide & driver will pick you up at the hotel, leave by coach to Hoa Lu (it takes about 2.5 hours).

After lunch at a local restaurant in Hoa Lu, then we visit the historic capital of Vietnam, the famous ancient temples of Le and Dinh Dynasties. Then our driver will transfer you to Tam Coc. A boat trip takes us to visit Tam Coc to see the beauty of karst formations. Cycling for an hour on quiet roads through villages, rice fields are optional. Back to Hanoi & drop off at the hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay (L, D)

Start the day with a scenic drive to Halong Bay for 3.5 hours. Arrive in Tuan Chau port, Tuan Chau Island and have lunch here. Then take a boat trip about 4 hours, cruise around Halong Bay through the emerald waters between the limestone outcrops, visit Thien Cung Cave and Floating Village. Back to Tuan Chau port where our minibus will be waiting to take us back to Hanoi.

Day 3: Halong Bay – Cat Ba National Park (B, L, D)

On the final leg of your journey after breakfast, we visit Cat Ba Island. On the way to get there, we have a short visit to Military Hospital cave used by the North Vietnamese Army during the American war. Follow our guide to have a short trek in a national park to delve into the majesty of the jungle. As the sun begins to set, return to Hanoi for your departure.

Day 4: Hanoi – Departure (B)

After breakfast, you have leisure time for relaxing and shopping in and around Hanoi Old Quarter. Then our driver will see you off at the airport. Trip ends.
