Full 5-day Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Halong Bay (L, D)
Meet our local guide and driver upon pick up from the hotel in Hanoi who will take you to Halong Bay. On arrival, we embark our cruise followed by a short cruise briefing and then, savor a delectable lunch as we cruise among the limestone islands. In the afternoon, we explore the amazing Sung Sot Cave – the most beautiful cave in Halong before cruising to Titov Island. You have leisure time for swimming and relaxing on the beach.
Next, we get back to our boat and continue cruising to the quiet field while enjoying the majesty of seascape on the way. Enjoy dinner and socialize with other guests, take part in board games, or just laze around. Overnight on board.
Day 2: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, L)
A day of memorable highlights with a peaceful morning of Halong Bay. After that, we enjoy kayak among the hidden areas of the Bay, around the Drum Cave. Return to the boat for freshening up and check out of the cabin. Continue the tour exploring the Bay, passing Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet, and more. When getting back to the harbor, we take part in the Cooking Class before enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch. We disembark at the mainland and have a private car to drive us to Lang Son. We arrive in Lang Son in the late afternoon, check-in and spend a night at the hotel in Lang Son.
Day 3: Lang Son – Cao Bang (B, L, D)
Start the day with a scenic drive to Cao Bang passing through vertiginous rice paddies and remote villages. We get the historical site where The Battle of Dong Khe was fought during the First Indochina War. Next, there will be a stop for lunch before visiting Mother’s Temple and Dong Kinh Market (a border market). Dinner and overnight at hotel in Cao Bang.
Day 4: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Ba Be Lake (B, L, D)
After breakfast, your visit this morning focuses on the main highlights of the Trung Khanh, close to Vietnam’s northern border with China. Here you have the chance to meet Nung people in the village of Phuoc Sen, famous as a farming tool village. Along the way to Ban Gioc Waterfall, you can see the terraced rice paddies around. Then we get the breathtakingly majestic falls that demarcate the border between Vietnam and China. There has time for you to enjoy the view and soak up the typical atmosphere of Vietnam before making your way to the Nguom Ngao “Tiger Cave” with its wonderful limestone formations. After that we return to Cao Bang town and going down on snake pass to Ba Be Lake, stay overnight on the traditional house of Tay ethnic family.
Day 5: Ba Be Lake – Hanoi (B, L)
Sightseeing with the local guide includes relaxing on board, joining in some wildlife spotting. Then we have time for floating on Ba Be Lake and take in the scenery of surrounding karsts decorated with patches of wild vegetation and other sorts of interesting creatures. We will depart for the journey back Hanoi, and we will stop at some hills tea plant before getting back to the hotel in the cramped Hanoi. Trip ends.
